I've tried looking for other topics both here and with Google, but no one seems to have much knowledge on this error. For some people, it appears in both Singleplayer and Multiplayer.
For me it only shows up in Multiplayer, when I try to connect to a server. I've found that if I create a new character while in the Multiplayer screen and then go to a server right from there, it works fine. If I go into Singleplayer for any reason with the new character, then I am unable to go into servers after, getting the same 'Client ship world has errored' message. I never received this message until AFTER I downloaded and started using Starcheat. Is there a known way to fix this so my main character/toon can go into servers? Edit: 7/11/2015 This error is due to having RACE MODS.
If you have ANY modded races (Lucario, Lopunny, Felins, ect.), they are the cause of this error and the only way to fix it is to get rid of those mods. Unfortunately for me, after getting rid of those mods, my game was still messed up. For my laptop, I had to uninstall Unstable and download Stable in order to be able to play properly.
My desktop is a different story. I had race mods for both Stable and Unstable on it, and both games are still corrupted. Uninstalling them and re-installing them did not fix the issue. I found a solution! Your invisible clothes might be an issue cause i have a mod that adds items (utility backpacks) and every character that ive equipped them on the client ship world errored, but when I took them off I was able to go and play multiplayer fine. Try taking the items off your character (if it still breaks with it in your inventory delete it completely then try without it).
DO THIS BEFORE RESETING SHIPWORLDS!!! Please I don't want you to lose all your stuff like I did (custom ship). I found a solution!
